Terms of Service
Updated January 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website located at lineavigne.com (the "Site") and any artwork, prints, commissions, or services offered by Linea Vigne ("Linea Vigne," "the studio," "we," "us," or "our"). By using the Site or commissioning work, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. The studio and our work
Linea Vigne is a Napa Valley art studio creating watercolor-and-ink illustrations of vineyards, architecture, estates, restaurants, and hospitality spaces. We offer original commissioned illustrations, limited-edition archival prints, and licensed artwork for hospitality and brand use.
2. Commissions
2.1 Engagement
Commissioned work begins after a written agreement or accepted proposal that describes the subject, dimensions, deliverables, timeline, and fee. A commission is confirmed only once any required deposit has been received.
2.2 Reference material
You are responsible for ensuring that any photographs, images, or references you provide do not infringe the rights of any third party. By supplying reference material, you confirm that you own it or have permission to use it, and you grant us the right to use it solely to create your commissioned work.
2.3 Revisions
Each commission includes the number of revision rounds stated in your proposal. Additional revisions, or changes to agreed scope, may be subject to further fees.
2.4 Deposits and payment
Unless stated otherwise, commissions require a non-refundable deposit to reserve studio time, with the balance due before final files or physical artwork are delivered. Fees are quoted in U.S. dollars.
2.5 Cancellation
If you cancel a commission after work has begun, the deposit is retained and any work completed beyond the deposit value may be invoiced. If the studio cancels, any amounts paid for undelivered work will be refunded.
3. Intellectual property
All artwork, illustrations, designs, and Site content are the intellectual property of Linea Vigne and are protected by copyright and other laws. Unless a written license or assignment states otherwise:
- We retain copyright and reproduction rights in all artwork, including commissioned pieces.
- Purchasing a print or commission conveys ownership of that physical or digital piece for personal display, not the right to reproduce, resell, or license the image.
- Commercial, hospitality, and brand use (labels, menus, marketing, packaging, merchandise) requires a separate written license defining scope, territory, and term.
We may display commissioned and licensed work in our portfolio, website, and social channels unless a written confidentiality arrangement provides otherwise.
4. Prints and physical goods
Archival prints are produced to order on cotton-rag or comparable fine art paper. Because pieces are hand-finished and screens vary, slight variations in color and texture are inherent to the medium and are not defects. Details on delivery, returns, and damaged goods are provided at the time of purchase.
5. Acceptable use of the Site
You agree not to misuse the Site, including by attempting to copy, scrape, or reproduce artwork; interfering with the Site's operation; or using any content for machine-learning training, dataset creation, or automated reproduction without our written permission.
6. Disclaimers
The Site and its content are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Linea Vigne will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site or our services. Our total liability for any claim relating to a commission or purchase will not exceed the amount you paid for that specific work.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Linea Vigne harmless from claims arising out of reference material you provide, your misuse of artwork, or your breach of these Terms.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Napa County, California.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always posted on this page with its effective date. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance.
