Privacy Policy
Updated January 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Linea Vigne ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects personal information when you visit lineavigne.com (the "Site") or engage the studio for artwork, prints, or commissions. We respect your privacy and collect only what we need to run a small art studio well.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Enquiry and commission details — your name, email address, and any information you include when you write to us or brief a commission.
- Order and billing information — shipping address and details needed to fulfill and invoice a purchase. Card payments are processed by third-party payment providers; we do not store full card numbers.
- Reference material — photographs or images you send for a commission.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data — pages viewed, referring pages, approximate region, browser and device type, collected through server logs and privacy-respecting analytics.
- Cookies — see our Cookie Policy for details and controls.
2. How we use information
- To respond to enquiries and discuss, prepare, and deliver commissions.
- To fulfill orders for prints and licensed artwork.
- To send transactional messages about your project or purchase.
- To operate, secure, and improve the Site.
- To comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your reference photographs or project details to train machine-learning models.
3. Legal bases (where applicable)
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of a contract (commissions and orders), legitimate interests (running and securing the studio and Site), consent (non-essential cookies and any marketing), and legal obligation (tax and records).
4. Sharing
We share personal information only with service providers who help us operate — such as web hosting, email, analytics, payment processing, and print and shipping partners — and only as needed to perform their services. We may also disclose information where required by law. We do not sell or rent personal information.
5. Retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described here, including satisfying legal, tax, and accounting requirements. Commission records and reference material are retained for the life of the project and a reasonable period afterward, then deleted or anonymized.
6. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Residents of California and the EU/UK have additional rights described in our California Privacy and EU / UK Privacy notices. To exercise any right, write to studio@lineavigne.com.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children
The Site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. International visitors
We are based in the United States. If you visit from elsewhere, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
10. Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. The effective date above reflects the latest version.
